Through the Years
THIRTY YEARS ago, in April 1988,
Bernard Atherley and George Clarke
took the bold step of founding A & C.
These two men cofounded the company
and served as its first two employees,
working with a single contract which
required them to provide security
services for “Shell Spring Garden”.
Initially, the company was located
upstairs Lorde’s Court on Roebuck
Street in Bridgetown, however as
the company grew, its operations
were relocated in 2006 to the current
location at Barbarees Hill, St Michael.
Today, the company employs
185 people and its 45 contracts
include schools, businesses, small
enterprises, a major financial
institution and leading commercial
stores and petroleum enterprises.
